This month we celebrate 100+ professionals endorsed in the state!

What is Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health?

Embedded in the context of a child’s family, community, and cultural expectations, infant and early childhood mental health refers to the developing capacity from birth to 6 to experience, regulate, and express emotions; to form close relationships; and to explore the environment and learn.

Diversity Informed Tenets
Our collaborative work is grounded in the DIT which serves as a compass for operationalizing our policies and practices.

Let's celebrate them and the incredible impact of their important work.

This month marks an important milestone for MA that will positively impact the relational wellbeing of young children and families for generations to come. In the past three years since our Endorsement Kick-Off in May 2019, MassAIMH in collaboration with MSPCC has worked hard to grow capacity to support the launch and implementation of the Endorsement for Culturally Relevant, Relationship-Focused Practice Promoting Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health® in MA.

We wouldn't be here without you, the MANY leaders, partners, communities, organizations and individual professionals who have and continue to support this work along the way since we embarked on this diversity informed journey of recognizing and honoring the expertise and service of infant and early childhood mental health professionals in MA!

We are grateful.

We are proud to share that the 106 professionals endorsed represent diversity in race, ethnicity, scope of service, geography, linguistic capacity and gender. We have more collective work to do in service of our young children and families across the Commonwealth.

We want to thank Boston Children's Hospital Birth to Five Child Health and Development Initiative for the funding to make this possible.
