What is Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health?

In the context of nurturing foundational relationships within a family’s culture and community, infant and early childhood mental health is the developing capacity from birth to 6 to experience, regulate, and express emotions; to form close relationships; and to explore the environment and learn.

CELEBRATING MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH

WHAT IS CHILDREN’S MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS?

As we honor Children's Mental Health Awareness Week and Maternal Mental Health Week, we are reminded of one powerful truth: a child's well-being begins with the well-being of all those who care for them. Join us in bringing awareness and action to young children's mental health and early relational well-being.

We have created a Zoom background to be a big voice for little children!

DAY 7

It’s never too early to begin talking about mental health. Early childhood is a time when young ones are learning about emotions and finding ways to express them. This fun and engaging educational program, designed for ages 4 to 10, helps adults open a positive conversation about feelings with children.

Professional Development Opportunities

Endorsement is a professional development journey! Come join your colleagues!

One recently Endorsed professional described how getting Endorsed gave her the opportunity to become part of “..the community, really connecting with multidisciplinary professionals. I think that has a lot of value. And I think having a community, having credibility, having a credential. I think it all… makes it more possible for us to expand as a multidisciplinary field.”

We invite you to hear from MA endorsed colleagues on the impact of MassAIMH endorsement. Click here to download the report.

If you work with or on behalf of young children (0-6 years of age) and their families, we invite you to apply for Endorsement®.
